This is my main computer, the "powerhouse" if you wanna call it that. I aquired it for Christmas in 2022. For the most part, it's worked very nicely, asside from a small problem I have with my CPU throttling. That's gaming laptops for ya I guess. I regularly keep the vents clean, I've repasted a couple times, but nothing has been a permenant fix. I would still love to upgrade to a full desktop PC at some point, but for now, this will do.
The keyboard is alright to type on, not the best, not the worst. The trackpad feels amazing, one of the best trackpads I've ever used (the best being glass MacBook trackpads :>). The display is 1080p at 144hz. It's beautiful to look at. I love the 1080p resolution in such a small size, and I'm even looking at it as I type this lol. It's a shame that under Windows I am unable to take advantage of this display, unless I want to experience bad performance. This laptop also doesn't have a Mux switch, so an external monitor is a REQUIREMENT unless I am using Linux. The colors on the display are also very nice, and the viewing angles don't suck.

When you're a gaming laptop user, you'll most likely be using it as a desktop. Always plugged in, rarely moving location. That's where having a secondary laptop comes in. I use my T420 for practically the same stuff as my main computer, except for the more graphically intensive stuff, cuz well this is a 2011 laptop. It's honestly one of my favorite computers to use, since I typically use it as... well... a laptop.
The keyboard is the best laptop keyboard I've probably ever used. The trackpad, is a alright. Whenever it works, it worked. Speaking of working, the trackpad has issues. It has issues working on bootup, and it affects the trackpoint when it's enabled in the BIOS. If I disable it, the trackpoint works fine 100% of the time. Speaking of the BIOS... it's locked. I don't wanna go through the trouble of shorting out the correct pin, and the computer works fine as it is, so, yea. The display is 1600x900 at 60hz. For a 2011 laptop, this display is fantastic. The viewing angles are okay, and for where I use this laptop, it gets bright enough for me.

Before all of you Android overlords yell at me, I just like iPhones and I like the simplicity of iOS. I have used this iPhone XR since November 2023, and has been a very nice phone. The only issue I have is the storage space, and that's about it.

It's a very simple server PC, using Windows 8.1 just for my sanity sake. I'll probably try Linux again at some point, but for now, Windows will do. I host my other website, cheddy.net, on this computer, as well as a plex server and a teamspeak server. I also sometimes host Minecraft servers on this PC.
